Why your Meta ads get clicks but no sales (and how to fix it)
Clicks without sales usually means the problem is after the ad. Here is how to find the leak and fix it.
If your ads get clicks but your phone stays quiet, the ad is often not the problem. The leak is usually somewhere between the click and the sale. Here are the most common causes, in the order we check them.
1. The page people land on
A visitor from an ad gives you a few seconds. If the page is slow, generic, or asks them to search for what they came for, they leave. The page should repeat the promise of the ad, load fast on mobile, and offer one clear next step, such as a WhatsApp message.
2. The next step is too hard
Long forms, hidden phone numbers and “contact us” pages lose people. Make the first step small: a short question, a tap to WhatsApp, a free plan or audit. You can qualify the lead after the first message.
3. Nobody follows up fast enough
Many leads are lost after they arrive. If a lead waits hours for a reply, they have already contacted a competitor. Speed of response and a clear follow-up sequence often matter more than the ad itself.
4. The campaign is optimized for the wrong thing
If the campaign is told to get clicks, it finds people who click. Track the actions that matter, like messages, leads and purchases, and let the platform optimize for those.
5. The offer is not clear enough
People need a reason to act now. A clear offer, real proof such as results and reviews, and honest urgency all help.
